 For National Grid, the largest utility in the UK, safety is a key issue. Helping young people become aware of simple measures they can take to be safe in and around their homes is a great place to start. We all take our domestic electricity, gas and water supply for granted, but not everyone is sure of what to do if there is an emergency, the lights go out or if there is a gas escape
National Grid has sponsored an activity pack for the Cub Scout Home Safety Badge. Each Cub Scout who is interested in gaining the badge will be given one of the packs. In the form of a poster, the pack has eight activities for Cub Scouts to complete . These include a word search, a spot-the-errors picture, mark-the-location exercises and some valuable home safety advice.
