North East Region Scouts Glider |

The Scout Counties of Cleveland, Durham, Northumberland, Central, North, South & West Yorkshire have an arrangement with the Yorkshire Gliding Club at Sutton Bank near Thirsk which allows Scouts to Glide on 30 weekends each year at very competitive rates.

Current charges are £24-50 for air tow, £6-50 for winch launch when available, £5-00 for simulator if unable to fly. Height/weight limits are 1.1 metres to shoulder, min weight 46 kg (101 lbs, or 7 st 2 lbs), max weight 108 kg (238 lbs or 17 stone).
